Target size guide

Split PDF by Size Online

Create smaller PDF chunks near a target size, such as 10MB, 25MB, or 50MB, while keeping the file on your device.

Split a PDF by Size Choose "Split by size" in the tool.

When splitting by size is useful

Use target-size splitting when a document portal, email service, visa application site, insurance form, or internal workflow refuses PDFs above a specific size. Instead of manually guessing page ranges, you can ask the tool to create chunks near your chosen MB limit.

Why the size is approximate

PDF size is not evenly distributed page by page. One scanned page can be much larger than several text pages, and embedded images, fonts, annotations, and metadata all affect output size. For that reason, the browser estimates and groups pages into practical chunks instead of promising exact byte-level output.

How to split a PDF into 10MB or 25MB files

  1. Open the PDF Splitter tool.
  2. Select your PDF file.
  3. Choose Split by size.
  4. Enter your target size, for example 10 or 25.
  5. Download the resulting PDF or ZIP file.
Tip: If a portal has a strict 25MB limit, try a slightly lower target such as 22MB or 23MB to leave room for PDF structure differences.

FAQ

Can I split a PDF into exactly 10MB files?

The tool targets your requested size, but exact output can vary because PDF pages are not equal in size.

Does this compress my PDF?

No. This tool splits pages into smaller files. It is not primarily a PDF compressor.

Does the PDF upload to a server?

No. The main splitting workflow runs locally in your browser.
