Using the Service

These terms apply when you access the PDF Splitter website or use its browser-based PDF tools. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your Files and Responsibilities

You are responsible for the files you select, the instructions you enter, and the outputs you download. Only process a document when you have the right or permission to copy, modify, and extract its pages. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, violate privacy, bypass access controls, distribute unlawful material, or interfere with the website or other users.

Keep a safe copy of the original PDF. Review every generated file for completeness, page order, readability, and suitability before you submit, share, archive, or delete anything. The tool does not determine whether a document meets a court, government, employer, school, or other recipient's requirements.

Local Processing

The main splitting workflow reads and processes the selected PDF inside your browser rather than uploading it to our server. Your device memory, browser capabilities, available resources, encryption method, and PDF structure affect whether a file can be processed successfully. You are responsible for securing your device and deciding where downloaded outputs are stored.

Output and Size Estimates

Splitting by pages or ranges follows the values you enter, subject to a valid and readable source PDF. Target-size mode produces approximate groups, not a guaranteed maximum, because images, fonts, shared resources, and PDF encoding affect the final size. Always confirm the number, contents, and size of the output files yourself.

Website Data and Third-Party Services

Local file processing does not mean that every part of the website operates offline. The site may use hosting, analytics, and advertising services that receive ordinary technical request or usage data. Their availability and policies are outside the PDF splitting process. Service Availability

We strive to keep the service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. Browser updates, device limitations, network conditions, third-party services, or maintenance may affect access or results. Do not rely on PDF Splitter as the only way to complete a time-sensitive task.
