Our Mission

We built PDF Splitter with one goal in mind: to provide a free, fast, and secure way to split PDF documents without making you hand the document to a file-processing server. The tool is designed for everyday jobs: separating a long report into manageable parts, extracting a few pages for an application, or creating smaller files that are easier to share.

What You Can Do

You can divide a PDF after a chosen number of pages, extract one or more custom page ranges, or ask for output files near a target size. Page ranges are useful when you know the exact section you need, while page-count splitting produces predictable groups. Target-size splitting is an estimate because images, fonts, and other PDF content do not take the same amount of space on every page.

How It Works

Everything happens right in your browser. When you select a PDF, it is processed locally on your device using JavaScript — your files are never uploaded to any server. This removes server upload limits; your browser and available device memory are the practical limits. The browser prepares the new PDF files and, when there is more than one result, packages them for download. You remain in control of where those downloaded files are saved.

PDF Splitter does not require an account. It can be useful for personal paperwork, study material, business reports, scanned records, and other documents that you would prefer to keep on your own device. Ordinary website resources and optional analytics or advertising may still make network requests, but the main splitting workflow does not send the selected PDF for processing.

Know the Limits

Results depend on the source PDF, browser, and device. Very large or complex files may require substantial memory, encrypted files need the correct password, and a damaged or unsupported PDF may not open. We recommend checking every downloaded part before deleting or replacing the original document.
